Nelson Jazz Winter Festival
22nd-26th July 2026

Nelson Jazz Festival returned with some sizzling events to lift for the first time, as a winter event. We hope to continue and draw people to Nelson and Tasman hospitality once more in 2027. Headline acts for the festival included Jazz Embassy, Tiger Moth, NJC Big Band, Riwaka High Rollers, Sun City Soul and Echoes of Jazz (a special collaboration between Tom Rainey and Tessa Quayle). Ticketed events were at The Boathouse, The Playhouse and The Rutherford. Open events, featuring a range of bands, will be at Deville Cafe and Bar, Fanny’s Pub, The Honest Lawyer, Lambretta’s, The Vic Public House, the Elma Turner Public Library, Eight Plates and Red 16.
