David and Charlotte have been playing together for a number of years. Dave has played clarinet and saxophone most of his life, starting at school many years ago in the UK. Charlotte was just 4 years old when she first picked up the flute and has already progressed through all the grades available to amateur musicians.
Both are regular performers with the Nelson Symphony Orchestra - Dave has played principal clarinet, as well as bass clarinet. Charlotte has also played in a number of concerts and last year featured as a soloist in the Solo Spotlight concert.
As well as classical music, Dave is a passionate jazz fan, and is starting to share his love of jazz with Charlotte. They recently played together on first and second tenor saxophone at a gig with the Nelson Jazz Club Big Band, and Charlotte will be continuing to expand her jazz repertoire playing in the Nelson College Big Band.
They are pleased to present a programme of flute and clarinet music that will appeal to all ages and all tastes.
